We are excited to announce that the new BuyerSight has exited beta! We’ve been working on the product for over a year in beta, and BuyerSight Outbound is now live.
We’re launching with over 20 paying customers, who’ve been instrumental on this journey of building and iteration. Thank you all for your ideas, feedback, and partnership.
It’s no secret that outbound sales has been getting harder and harder over the last few years. Gone are the days when we could pull a list of 10k targets, load a couple variants into an email sequencer, and fire away all from one domain.
We saw this at BuyerSight — companies were increasingly desperate to build repeatable and scalable pipeline, but kept trying and failing. The solutions on the market clustered into one of two areas, either (A) “AI SDRs” that are just wrappers on top of ChatGPT spraying away with low-quality AI-written emails, or (B) outsourced teams of very junior workers trying to do it all by hand.
Neither solution worked well, and customers were churning through vendors like a game of hot potato. AI today can’t nail outbound messaging on its own – it’s good at research, but not the nuances of sales strategy. Worse yet, AI can’t overcome ever-increasing deliverability challenges.
We started experimenting, and we came to a simple but profound insight: AI with an outbound expert in the loop gets much better results than AI alone.
We’ve all seen what AI can do now, and it’s incredible, but it’s not ready to run outbound sales completely unaided by humans. However, one human well-versed in outbound sales can guide AI to results that just aren’t possible with humans or AI alone.
Enter the new BuyerSight: we use outbound experts for what humans do best, such as crafting the message strategy and sequence, and AI for what computers do best, such as researching prospects and personalizing at scale.
Don’t get us wrong — we also believe purely AI-led outbound sales is coming, it’s just not ready yet. And our approach is working. For example, BuyerSight is getting Arbor, an AI video company, 3x the number of meetings that they got with an outsourced team at less than half the cost per meeting.
We started with outbound experts in the loop to get the best possible results for our customers while building AI agents that do increasing amounts of the work. Our goal is to release agents that aid human experts with more and more of the B2B sales and marketing process over time.
We are closing in on purely AI-driven outbound, but humans are still important for some parts of selling to other humans for now.
